I took Hwy 169 off Interstate 15 on my way back to Lake Mead, where I'm staying this time at Las Vegas Bay Campground. Driving I-15 to & from Utah, I didn't pass a single vehicle. The speed limit is 75 much of the way, and it seemed to me that traffic was moving 10 mph over that limit.
Driving Hwy 196 was much more relaxing and I stopped now and then to take pictures. The first one is near the entrance to Valley of Fire State Park, and I'd like to stop and check that out sometime!
My site at Las Vegas Bay seems to be at the end of the world. Here's a view of it from the next ridge, and a selfie taken out behind the trailer looking towards Lake Mead.
